...is the man behind the airbrush. A creative genius, Kirk's professional experience includes work in the embroidery, silk screen, and tattoo industries, resulting in the ability to paint , draw, and tattoo almost anything. Although the airbrush & tattoo machine are his "weapons of choice", Kirk also excels in portraiture, logo design, and photography.

About BassAckward Studios
BassAckward Studios was founded on October 31, 1994. Our studio is a home-based enterprise. Located in the heart of rural North Dakota, we live in a town of less than 800 people. This keeps our overhead low and our kids happy! Kirk commutes to Michael Jay's Tattoo & Piercing Clinic in Bismarck, ND, where he tattoos full time.

Because of this "in-home" status, we do NOT have a showroom. Please don't come to our home, thinking you're going to get a gallery tour. We do value our privacy, which is why our phone number and address are not on the website. A quick email is always the best way to reach us anyway.

BassAckward Studios does have certain standards. If we feel that any design idea or request is inappropriate in any way, we reserve the right to refuse the job. This includes projects that promote opinions and beliefs that clash with our own. We take much pride in our integrity as artists, and we will not compromise our standards for a quick buck.
Gretchen (Tibor) Peterson
...¬Ýspent a few years in the silk screen industry, but left the field to raise the couple's children. Her role in BassAckward Studios includes layout and portrait work, logo design, website development, and is in charge of all of the financial, legal, and customer service elements.
