Meet Ethan. He’s 10 and he’s kicking cancer’s butt. He is a stage 4 bone cancer & rotationplasty survivor. This is one incredible kid…. what a privilege to do this project for him.
Yes, his foot is backwards. His leg was amputated above and below the knee, and the lower half of his leg was re-attached. Backwards. This enables his foot and ankle to act like a new knee. Absolutely amazing. And now Ethan has a BassAckward leg to go along with his bassackward foot…. this kid is so awesome, he can kick your butt without even having to turn around.

Our 9th year as part of the “entertainment” at the Glen Ullin Motorcycle Club’s annual Memorial Day run. Kirk paints all evening and the GUMC auctions the final artwork. The weather wasn’t very pleasant, and many of the riders left after the ride to continue the flood fight in Bismarck. But, those of us who stuck around had a great time as always….

Yep, a new product line Gretchen’s been working on. Because not everyone like hearts and flowers and teddy bears…. I have been wanting to work with less-stereotypical patterns and prints for awhile. And of course, each quilt is hand made, and in most cases hand-painted as well. This line is still a work in progress, but I will take orders via email, in addition to having a few ready-to-go as they are completed.
Pictured here is a personalized blankie for a newborn baby girl. Her mom and dad are super cool… gotta love those girly skulls!
